Artist's Mission Statement

I believe that if one can dream, one can create and likewise bring inspiration to others. My mission is to bring people’s creativity to life and at the same time, build a strong artistic foundation that could help them not only as creatives but to use these potential skills in many aspects of life.

About the Artist

I am an artist, educator and mentor providing support to art enthusiasts all over the world. Currently living in San Diego, CA, I enjoy a warm weather, passionate about different cultures, languages and music. Thus, much of my inspiration in art is drawn from elements all over the world. I was a creative person since childhood but hadn’t approached art seriously until college.

My first inspiration came from my uncle, a professional muralist with whom I worked with as a young student. In college, I studied design but leaned more toward studio art as I felt a certain freedom and ability to expand my personal style and vision in art. I have always been passionate about figurative art although my portfolio is extensive in many kinds of subject matter including illustration, landscapes, and art for the commercial market.

Art Education Background

My background education includes a Bachelors Degree in Art and Design from CSLA and teacher’s preparatory electives at CSSM. My experience in art is broad ranging from a personal line of art, mural paintings, portraits, digital, photography, as well as illustration and surface design for the commercial market. I had taught art to children and adults in public schools and private sectors ranging from beginning to advanced levels.

Art Teaching Style and Philosophy

One of my greatest strengths in teaching is meeting each student’s unique needs and designing a curriculum according to their level and particular requirements. I achieve this by closely examining my students and tailoring my lesson plans accordingly. I also believe that every student is an individual unlike any other. Therefore, I hold a high emphasis toward communication between the teacher, student and parent to achieve a satisfactory progress. My goal is to raise student awareness in the arts, for students to enjoy and feel proud of their accomplishments and to achieve a high understanding of concepts and skills that they can use throughout life. Above all, I value what I do and hope to bring meaning to every student with my experience.
